Meet Our Team

Denise Hernandez is a San Antonio entrepreneur and community leader known for growing one of the region’s fastest‑expanding culinary brands, now serving South Texas and reaching as far as Baylor University. Her leadership and drive have made her a respected voice for business growth and an inspiration to young women pursuing entrepreneurship.

Denise has held key civic roles, including Board Chair of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Co‑Chair of Leadership San Antonio Class 43. She has been recognized with the Hispanic Organization for Public Service (HOPW) Award and serves on several boards, including the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas – Dallas Branch.

She and her husband, Mark Hernandez, were honored as Power Couple of the Year by the San Antonio Business Journal for their impact in business and philanthropy. Denise also founded a nonprofit focused on fighting food insecurity in the San Antonio community.

Today, she continues expanding The Eatery Culinary Group—including into government contracting—while championing economic opportunity and empowering the next generation of San Antonio leaders.
