Our Story

Over the past twenty-nine years, the Hernandez Family has worked to provide unique food experiences to San Antonio and beyond. Their story began in 1994, when the Hernandez siblings opened True Flavors, LLC in San Antonio, Texas. Today, the family’s legacy has allowed them to create an array of brands that include catering services, restaurants, concessions, and corporate dining experiences.

With more than 20 years of experience in the culinary industry, Denise Hernandez joined True Flavors in 2008 as Vice President of Operations, and now serves as their Corporate Advisor since becoming the Owner and CEO of  The Eatery Culinary Group in 2021.

The Eatery Culinary Group provides corporate dining services to the San Antonio Water System (SAWS), the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) and the UTSA School of Data Science in partnership with Aramark.

The Eatery Culinary Group (ECG) is certified through the South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (SCTRCA):
